Inspired by a serene moment at a local butterfly farm, I looked up to see two Blue Ring-Necked Parakeets perched high up in the branches. The birds drawn in ink pen are still and watching. By lightly layering washes of colours beneath the stark black lines of the ink pen I want the colours to illuminate through. I hope this effect would capture the quiet beauty of the night, as if the moment was lit by the light of the moon.
